Thank you for sharing this soulful message Pegah. I love the energy and intention behind your words. I published a piece yesterday that included my thoughts on peace because it’s something I’ve been sitting with too.

I’ve come to realise that by focusing too far into the future all the time we’re literally rewiring our brain to focus on finding happiness in the future. While manifesting our desires can be frustrating because of the time lag, what helps is finding gratitude in the small things I already have and the small tasks I get done. It’s like putting pieces of the puzzle together for the bigger picture to come together.

Keep sharing your wisdom 😊🙏🏽

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to read my writing and commenting your wonderful take on it! I also love your newsletter!

And I agree. When we make the intention to live within the small moments in our day to day lives, we allow ourselves to flow with my ease with all the ups and downs. Because we see the bugger picture, and appreciate the little beauties at the same time.

I love the guidance about letting things suck. The greater cultural imposition is to suppress, disassociate, and essentially reject our Wholeness when our lives aren't meeting the unrealistic ideals that we are taught to pursue. The reality of being Human is to navigate through limitation, to FEEL the edges of our capacity, to BE inside of our perspective as it meets with the life and alchemizes in the present moment. Human Life is messy and uncomfortable, grief is inevitable, pain is integral... this is where we meet our thresholds and commune with our shadows. This is where we learn our distinction, our unique lens of being, and birth creative expression. Our pains and shitty moments of life go hand in hand with our euphoric joyful graciousness. Wholeness. Wholeness is our true journey.

I absolutely LOVE the way you wrote this🤍 and I agree. I believe the concept of “good” or “bad”, especially for our feelings, is meaningless and it doesn’t allow us to move and grow✨ being human is truly about surrendering to the flow and watch as we grow and glow!

YES! I am currently learning how to ALLOW for my emotions to cycle IN and through my body and my feelings and my stories. Once upon a time I was super capable of avoiding and suppressing my messier expression because my life was devoted to presencing, guiding and tending OTHER PEOPLE through their wounds. While it is powerful and wonderful to have that gift, Ive begun to understand that I need to Live my gifts more than Give my gifts. My gifts will naturally offer their generosity when I am more fluent in them and that requires me to presence, tend and walk with myself through my Wholeness. Uncomfortable indeed. But the surrender INTO the emotional spectrum of feeling, has become a language for me to understand. A interfacing medium that my Whole embodiment uses to translate my truth with the present moment. Big learning :-) Id love to hear more about your emotional thresholds and how you tend and guide yourself through them!

Oh this gives me chills because JUST yesterday I was guiding my student through this exact transformation! She has learned to feel her emotions and find the flow, and now is embodying this mindset of taking care of herself and her energy as an act of self care instead of selfishness, and it’s just so beautiful🤍

The act of surrendering took her a few weeks, but it really starts by understanding the intention behind it! Are you feeling your feelings in order to take it out on the world? Or feeling your feelings to heal and move past where you are? The perspective and the mindset have such crucial role as you navigate your journey.

So, here’s how I guide my students and what I would tell you: the goal is not to find happiness. The goal is to find a balanced contentment by flowing through your journey, allowing your Soul to shine through your humanness, and allowing your humanness to to live kindly✨

Yes I fully agree — perspective is the gateway into the beliefs we carry underneath our embodied emotional experience. Happiness is beautiful and certainly part of our Wholeness here on Earth, but happiness is not intended to be a goal. It is absolutely possible to be in the depths of grief, while also feeling threads of happiness. It is absolutely possible to be entrenched in anger, while also feeling threads of happiness. Emotions feel layered to me. They are communicating to me about the way I am receiving and responding to reality at any given moment. Often if I LISTEN into my emotions, following the threads of story that seem to arise with emotions, I discover beliefs that are alive in my core perception. And sometimes my emotional motivations are incredibly immature — because they are stemming from a frozen facet of my wounding, a 5 year old version of my emotional understanding. Harmonious contentment feels resonant to me, the understanding that the fluctuations in emotion are inevitable and important, they are HUMAN. And, within those embodied experiences, we have access to feeling the thread of harmony that exists in our primal blueprint. We can BE in our emotions without BECOMING our emotions. Thank you for sharing about your student and about how you approach emotional fluency! I love hearing about other folks journeys with their humanness!!
